JAKE AGNEW

I am a self taught artist living in Troon, Scotland and I paint under the name jaggybunnet.

I got back into art after taking early retirement a couple of years ago and have a small studio in my garden. (It’s a shed really but it’s where I escape to for my indulgence in art).

My artwork is somewhat diverse by way of the materials I use. I work mainly with acrylics and ink with a preference to utilising reclaimed timber as my canvas. I paint on old wooden pallets, whisky barrel lids and also utilise whisky barrel staves for mosaic work. (I do also work with regular canvas as a medium).

In my opinion, the greatest enjoyment of painting is the look of joy and appreciation on the faces of the recipient of my artwork.

I enjoy working with a variety of subject matter and carry out commission work for specific requests.
