Club Update October

Hi all, here's a quick update on the items highlighted at our Club Night

·        Membership
We’re delighted to report that our membership now stands at 150 and growing

·        Plein Air
The committee has decided to postpone the Plein Air competition until Spring. Unfortunately, despite a generally good summer, both dates we scheduled between the Summer Exhibition and the start of the programme were rained off. Fingers crossed for better luck next year!

·        Tea/Coffee Fund
Thank you for voting with your coins at enrolment night! The result means our tea/coffee contributions will go to Troon Development Trust this year.  Our previous charity, Cancer Support Ayrshire, will join us at the October work evening to receive a cheque for £350—a big thank you to everyone who contributed.

·        Storage Space Needed
We’re looking for a storage space for our exhibition display boards and related materials. The space should be approximately 6m x 4m. If you have suitable space and would be happy to rent it to us for a small annual fee, please get in touch—we’d love to hear from you!

·        Visible Voices Programme
Eligible members will soon receive an email about our new initiative, Visible Voices, funded by the South Ayrshire Health and Social Care Partnership. This programme offers daytime support workshops for members aged 65+ and will help participants exhibit their work locally and across Ayrshire.
