Huge thanks to Al Bell for a brilliant demonstration tonight.

Al gave us such a thoughtful look at both the theory and practice of oil painting, showing how he works with a limited colour palette, and how he builds up and shapes the painting using brushwork and wiping away paint.

Such a clever, beautiful approach, lots of great tips and inspiration to take away!
